Surapaneni Krishna Mohan Receives Awards for Teaching Excellence, Best Paper in Pharmacology

Congratulations to Surapaneni Krishna Mohan (CMCL 2009), who received the 2015 Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Award for Teaching Excellence-2015, awarded by Marina Labs. Dr. Mohan also received the Prof. Duggirala Visweswaram & Prof. Sreemantula Satyanarayana Award for Best Paper in Pharmacology for his research article titled, “Effect of pioglitazone, quercetin and hydroxyl citric acid on the lipid profile and lipoproteins in experimentally induced non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH),” which was published in the Indian Journal of Pharmaceutical Education and Research in 2014. This award was presented at the 20th Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI) Annual National Convention in October 2015.
Dr. Mohan was also recently appointed as the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Steering Committee Coordinator for Saveetha University. He was also recently certified as a Clinical Chemist by the National Registry of Certified Chemists in Washington, D.C. Dr. Mohan received a National Award for Outstanding Contribution in Medical Education and Research as part of the 2015 National Education Achievers initiative of Praxis Media, which honors “Achievers, Innovators, and Leaders for their excellence, reputation, and exemplary work in the education sector.”
