Congratulations to Rajiv Mahajan (CMCL 2016), whose FAIMER project was recently introduced as a training course for interns at Sri Guru Ram Das University of Health Sciences in Amritsar, India. The module, titled “MIME: Module for Interns in Medical Ethics in Patient Care,” will be delivered in the form of a three-day workshop for small groups of 20-25 interns during their community medicine posting.
Dr. Mahajan reports that a paper based upon his project was published in the International Journal of Applied & Basic Medical Research in December 2017 and a module based upon the project was then published in the form of a booklet in January 2018. The module was originally released during the convocation ceremony for the 2016 CMCL-FAIMER Regional Institute class.
In April 2019, Dr. Mahajan was appointed as the Dean of Student Welfare and Youth Affairs, Adesh University. He was instrumental in establishing the university’s Health Professions Education Unit and serves as coordinator of the unit. He also currently serves as the Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Applied & Basic Medical Research. In March 2020, he was appointed as the Principal/Dean of Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences & Research.
