Dr. S. Ayhan Caliskan, along with Kadir Demir and Ozan Karaca have established a small research group on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Medical Education. Their most recent article, where they conducted an e-Delphi study to identify and seek consensus on artificial intelligence competencies in medical education curricula, has been published to PLOS ONE. To the best of Dr. Caliskan's knowledge, this is the first study to be published on this topic.

The article gives background on AI and how it has produced changes within the healthcare industry, and how formalizing instruction on AI will help medical graduates prepare for possible AI technologies and applications in medicine. A three-round e-Delphi survey was conducted and provided the research group with a consensus list of competencies required by medical graduates to be ready for AI implications.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Caliskan on this accomplishment!
