Rita Sood Earns Master’s in Medical Education and Is Elected President of SEARAME

Congratulations to Rita Sood (PHIL 2005), who recently received her Master of Medical Education degree with distinction from the University of Dundee in Scotland. Dr. Sood also conducted a pre-conference workshop on clinical bedside teaching and participated in a session on the application of competence-based medical education in South East Asia at the 1st International Meeting of the South East Asia Regional Association of the World Federation for Medical Education (SEARAME), held in Jakarta, Indonesia, in November 2010. She was also elected President of SEARAME (2012-2015) at the November meeting of SEARAME’s Executive Committee. This year, Dr. Sood also received Fellowships of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) of London and the National Academy of Medical Sciences (FAMS) of India.
