Congratulations to Marykutty Mammen (PHIL 2009), who recently received an award of appreciation from Walter Sisulu University and the Eastern Cape Health Department in South Africa for her contributions to the field of Medical Education.

Dr. Mammen is a faculty member of the Sub-Saharan Africa-FAIMER Regional Institute (SAFRI), as well as a member of the research group of The Training for Health Equity Network (THEnet) on Social Accountability, representing the Walter Sisulu University School of Medicine. She wishes to dedicate her award to the FAIMER faculty members who encouraged her to grow as a medical educator.
