Y.S. Sivan (PSG 2009) spoke on “Developing Standards for Behavioral and Social Sciences Education in Medical Schools in India” as part of a symposium that took place during the 13th Asia Pacific Medical Education Conference (APMEC) at the National University of Singapore, January 15-16, 2016. His e poster titled “Identifying Barriers in Behavioural and Social Sciences Education in Medical Schools in India” was also presented at APMEC 2016. In February, Dr. Sivan gave a guest lecture titled “Teaching Behavioural and Social Sciences in Medical Schools in India” at the Medical Education Conference (MECon) 2016 held at JSS Medical College in Mysuru, India.
