Mumbai, India – On 25 July 2025, Dr. Waqar Naqvi conducted a full-day, hands-on workshop at the prestigious Seth G.S. Medical College & KEM Hospital, Mumbai, titled “(A)I CAN DO IT© – AI for Faculties and Researchers.” The workshop was designed to empower health professions educators, postgraduate students, and researchers with practical skills to integrate Artificial Intelligence into their academic and research journeys.

The interactive sessions covered:

  • Prompt engineering for biomedical and clinical research
  • AI-assisted literature reviews for rapid and comprehensive evidence synthesis
  • Manuscript drafting and ethical publishing workflows
  • Real-time evidence synthesis using advanced AI tools

Participants included faculty members and postgraduate researchers, all of whom engaged actively in discussions, hands-on exercises, and collaborative problem-solving.

Dr. Naqvi emphasized not only the technical aspects of AI but also its ethical and responsible use in academic publishing and research dissemination. The workshop highlighted how AI is no longer a futuristic concept but a present-day enabler of academic excellence.

Special acknowledgments were given to faculty leaders Mariya Jiandani and Munira Hirkani, as well as the organizing committee and volunteers, whose efforts contributed to the event’s success. The enthusiastic participation reflected the growing recognition of AI as an essential skill in health professions education and research.

This initiative demonstrates how FAIMER Fellows are contributing globally by bridging education, innovation, and emerging technologies to shape the future of healthcare research.
