Medical College & Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad for her outstanding contributions in the field of science and medical education at local, national, and international levels. She is a nationally renowned ophthalmologist specializing in glaucoma and has conceptualized and implemented many innovative and first of their kind educational programs like the teacher’s training program for Ophthalmology teachers, communication skills training program and empathy training program for ophthalmology postgraduates.  

She has received numerous accolades and awards at various levels, the notable and recent ones being award of “International Ophthalmic Heroes of India” in the annual national conference of All India Ophthalmological Society and the gold medal at the 4th World Cataract Comprehensive Conference for her contributions to the society.
