Congratulations to David Cameron (PHIL 2005) and Marietjie van Rooyen (PHIL 2006), who, along with several of their colleagues from the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Pretoria in South Africa, recently received an Education Innovation Award from their university. Their curriculum innovation, entitled “From Boring Lectures to Buzzing Groups – Was it Worth It?” transformed a five-week module on Primary Care in year 5 of the M.B.Ch.B. undergraduate curriculum from teacher-centered didactic lectures to student-centered experiential learning using reciprocal peer teaching.
