Congratulations to Alwyn Louw (SAFRI 2008) on placing first in the Medical Teacher poster prizes at the Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE) 2009 conference. Alwyn’s poster, entitled “Refinement of the interdisciplinary foundation phase in an undergraduate health sciences curriculum based on initial perspectives of students and lecturers,” was developed in collaboration with Juanita Bezuidenhout (PHIL 2005), Ben van Heerden (PHIL 2006), and M. van Heusden, all of Stellenbosch University in South Africa. The poster deals with the findings of Alwyn's SAFRI curriculum innovation project.
