Congratulations to Surapaneni Krishna Mohan (CMCL 2009), who was appointed as Vice Principal (Admin) of Saveetha Medical College & Hospital, effective October 14, 2013. Dr. Mohan continues to serve as an Associate Professor in the Department of Biochemistry, and was also recently nominated as a member of Saveetha University’s IRB for Educational Research.

Dr. Mohan was also the recipient of several noteworthy awards and recognitions in 2013. In March 2013, he was elected as a member of the Academy of Medical Educators (AoME), in recognition of achievements in medical education by the President and Council of the AoME, Edinburgh, United Kingdom. In May 2013, he was elected as a Fellow of the International Medical Sciences Academy (IMSA). Dr. Mohan was also the recipient of an A. Menarini Bursary, awarded at the 20th IFCC-EFLM European Congress of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine and 45th Congress of the Italian Society of Clinical Biochemistry and Clinical Molecular Biology, held in May 2013 in Milan, Italy. In September 2013, he received a Young Achiever Award at the Asian Education Leadership Awards held in Dubai.
