Announcement to the FAIMER Community
A New Chapter: Dr. Page Morahan Transitions to Co-Founding Director Emerita, International FAIMER Institute
Dear FAIMER Community,
Throughout my professional career, I have made significant transitions, each opening new possibilities for growth and contribution. Today, I am pleased to announce another professional transition: I am moving into the role of Co-Founding Director Emerita of the International FAIMER Institute (IFI).
Reflecting on 25 Years
It has been an extraordinary privilege to co-found the FAIMER Institute and to contribute to this remarkable organization for more than a quarter century. What began as a vision to strengthen health professions education globally has become a vibrant, interconnected community of educators, innovators, and change-makers spanning every continent.
Through FAIMER®, a division of Intealth®, I have had the honor of working alongside brilliant colleagues, learning from Fellows who have challenged and inspired me, and witnessing the profound impact that committed educators can have on their institutions, communities, and nations. The global understanding I have gained through my association with this incredible group of people is among my life's greatest gifts. I am proud of what we have built together—the programs, networks, innovations, and most importantly, the relationships that form the heart of the FAIMER family. I look forward to being part of the 25th anniversary of FAIMER at the FAIMER Global Forum in October 2026.
Looking Forward: My Continuing Role
While I am stepping back from regular teaching in FAIMER programs, I remain deeply committed to our community and mission. In my new voluntary role as Co-Founding Director Emerita, I remain available for:
· contributing to FAIMER programs as requested by program organizers;
· continued involvement in FAIMER Connect;
· contributing to FAIMER and our community building by maintaining connections through Page’s Pages Around the World which I personally established to support FAIMER—look for updates on FAIMER Connect!
What This Means for the FAIMER Community
This transition does not mean goodbye. I remain committed to our shared mission and the incredible work the FAIMER community does around the world. I will continue to be present through FAIMER Connect, available for consultation, and engaged in the life of our community.
Gratitude
To every FAIMER Fellow, faculty member, staff member, and partner I have worked with for 25 years: thank you. You have taught me, challenged me, supported me, and shown me the true meaning of global citizenship in health professions education. The opportunity to contribute to—and learn from—this international community has been one of the defining experiences of my professional life.
I look forward to this next chapter and to continuing our work together in new ways.
