Doha, Qatar – Dr. Waqar Naqvi [International FAIMER Institute Fellow, Class of 2024] was invited as a speaker and discussant at the 8th International Conference on Education and Social Innovation (ESI 2025), hosted at Qatar University in Doha, Qatar, on 11 November 2025.
In the “Biomedical & Health Education Frontiers” track, he delivered a featured session titled “Beyond Chat: The Age of Agentic AI in Healthcare Education.” His presentation explored how healthcare education is moving beyond simple conversational use of generative AI toward agentic AI ecosystems that can:
- Orchestrate multiple AI agents for literature synthesis, feedback, and assessment
- Support adaptive, evidence-informed learning pathways for students and trainees
- Enable self-evolving curricula that remain aligned with current research and best practices
Drawing on his experience as Founder of AD Vivum and his work in AI-enabled health professions education, Dr. Naqvi illustrated how these tools can responsibly augment, rather than replace, human educators. He emphasized ethical use, transparency, critical thinking, and the need for faculty development so that educators can confidently integrate AI into teaching, assessment, and research supervision.
In addition to his talk, Dr. Naqvi served as a Discussant for the session, helping synthesize key ideas, pose integrative questions, and connect the work of multiple presenters. This role reinforced the FAIMER values of scholarly dialogue, collaboration, and advancing global health professions education.
Attached below is the awarded patent.
Please join us in congratulating Dr. Waqar M. Naqvi on this achievement!
